Our philosophy is primarily based on reducing eczema irritation from children's clothing by eliminating all convenience chemicals. We have painstakingly pursued this aspect to produce the purest possible product we can offer our customers.

As many of our customers have told us finding cotton school clothing has been a hard task, as most school clothing consists of a mixture of synthetic fibres, some of which have been treated with chemicals to reduce creasing and staining, this combination can irritate sensitive skin.

 

Why Organic

As cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop in the world. The chemical pesticides used in non-organic cotton ends up not only in the cotton, but in the air, water and soil. Pesticides can remain in the fibres even after washing and are easily absored into the skin. Our clothing is made from pure organic cotton, grown without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals and our suppliers ensure they use sustainable textiles with Azo free dyes.

Sustainable farming methods help to reduce pollution in the surrounding enviornment as well as promoting the fertility of the land for future generations. As insects have developed resistance to many pesticides which causes farmers to spray more chemicals that have little or no effect. This is why it is central to the LINT ethos to minimise pollution and exploitation in the production of it’s organic cotton clothing.  We have chosen to purchase and have our garments manufactured by suppliers in India who adhere to and can demonstrate operating fair trade guidelines for their workers.  Similarly, we only use cotton in our garments that have been grown and harvested following traditional organically sound methods.

Dying Units used by Lint strive to use Eco friendly processing to ensure the elimination of contaminating the agricultural land, in the immediate and surrounding areas thereby improving the environment and reducing pollution to soil and water.
